St. John’s Church

Our school’s distinctiveness comes from its relationship with the church.  We are lucky to be only across the road from St John’s Church which enables us to continually use the Church and its buildings to enhance our learning in school and develop our Christian faith.

Mary Ashton is the minister of St John’s Church and is also a member of our Governing Body.  She visits school weekly to lead Collective Worship, helping and supporting us in our spiritual development. She liaises closely with the Collective Worship lead and meets with the Worship team regularly.

At special times in the Christian Calendar, we hold our Collective Worship in St John’s Church.  During the period of Lent and Advent, we worship in church once a week.
