Admissions

Silverdale St John’s is a Church of England School, which offers primary and nursery education to children aged 3 to 11. The school is organised into four classes; Nursery/Reception, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6.
The school’s admission policy follows Local Authority and Diocese guidelines for schools. Applications are made electronically to the Local Authority for a school place in Reception and when our school is oversubscribed the admission criteria are applied. Children wishing to join the school in years other than Reception are invited to contact and visit the school to see if there are any spaces available.

If you are considering our school for your child at any age within our provision, please get in contact and make an appointment to look around where the Headteacher will be only too happy to meet with you and show you around.

Consultation on our admission arrangements

We wish to make a minor adjustment to our criteria from September 2023, moving siblings from third in our list to second. This is in line with with diocesan advice. Please see document below. If you have any comments, please contact school before Wednesday 12th January 2022.
