Safeguarding

At Silverdale St John’s, we take safeguarding very seriously and safeguarding our children is an essential part of our everyday work. Staff receive training on a regular basis to ensure they are kept up to date with the current guidelines. Our Headteacher and Vice Chair of Governors are both trained in safer recruitment to ensure that the recruitment process is carried out in a manner designed to keep our young people and families safe.

Our Early Help Offer

At Silverdale St John’s CE Primary School, we recognise that family life can have its complications from time to time. These may be times when you need some extra help and support. To support and advise you at these times, we have an early help offer.
Our safeguarding team can offer advice on a range of concerns, or can signpost parents to other sources of information, help and support.
Parents might share a wide range of concerns such as behaviour management, financial worries, domestic abuse, housing concerns, mobility difficulties, bereavement and loss, cyber bullying and anything else you are worried might have a negative impact on your child (ren).
